Physicians and community members working together to ensure safe health care for Idahoans.

Our mission is to ensure Idahoans have safe, legal, and equitable access to evidence-based medical care, that physicians and healthcare professionals are able to provide accepted standards of care, and that healthcare decisions made within a patient-provider relationship are honored and preserved.

Coalition Pillars

  • Protect the Doctor/Patient Relationship

Protect the patient-clinician relationship by keeping medical decision-making free from interference.

  • Recruit and Retain Health Care Professionals

Ensure Idaho has strong recruitment and retention of healthcare professionals by fostering a legal and community environment where evidence-based healthcare and healthcare professionals' knowledge and experience are valued.

  • Education Opportunities on Policy Impacts for Health Care Professionals

Educate physicians and healthcare professionals, elected officials, courts and Idaho citizens about adverse health outcomes that can result from criminalization of healthcare.

  • Protect Health Care Professionals from Criminalization

Ensure physicians and healthcare professionals are safe from risk of prosecution or legal-challenges when providing appropriate and accepted standards of care.

  • Serve as Health Care Experts to Policy Makers

Serve as consultants for any future legislation related to health care to ensure such legislation is congruent with the principles of medical ethics, standards of medical practice, and preserves the patient-clinician relationship.

“Health care providers plan to leave Idaho as a direct result of the restrictions placed on access to safe reproductive health care in Idaho…if Legislators don’t act soon to modify the abortion laws, the delivery of care across Idaho may be damaged to a point beyond repair for years to come. ”
